Today the founder and visionary of the Partake in Paducah movement begins her next chapter in Louisville. Our community is sad to see Kerri Bonner go, but excited to see the adventures that lie ahead for her and her husband Nute.

Kerri has taught us to celebrate the small things and find the hidden beauty within our city. Her gift to the community is the Partake in Paducah social media accounts that capture all the great things about Paducah and the community’s gift to her is to continue the vision she started. Socially Present has stepped in to lead a community collaboration to continue documenting the stories that Kerri so masterfully captured during her time here.

The #partakeinpaducah hashtag and the @CityofPaducah Instagram account are the core of the Partake in Paducah brand. The account currently has more than 10,000 followers and the hashtag has been used over 32,000 times to capture the stories and images of our community.

“History is written by those that stop in the moment and capture the stories that are all around them. Big or small, these stories shape our lives and collectively embody the personality of our community.

Jonas Neihoff, President of Socially Present, said, “History is written by those that stop in the moment and capture the stories that are all around them. Big or small, these stories shape our lives and collectively embody the personality of our community. Paducah is in the midst of a renaissance, a cultural movement, and Kerri was able to capture the beauty of Paducah and share it through the power of social media for the whole world to see. We are excited about the next chapter for Partake in Paducah and look forward to continuing to build on what Kerri has started.”

Kerri added, “Paducah has been so good to me – the account is a celebration of a great city and wonderful people! There is no other team that I would rather see carry on the heart and soul of these accounts. I believe in the vision and spirit of Socially Present and ask that you give them the full support that you gave me.”

The accounts will continue to highlight the people, places, and things in the greater Paducah area. The new year brings plans for new additions to the movement, including the launch of a new website.
