WKMS’ “Something from Nothing” is a local podcast about local makers for local listeners. The show introduces its listeners to the creative process that local artists employ when creating their works.

The Public Radio News Directors, Inc (PRNDI) Awards recognize outstanding public radio news reporting at local stations. The agency’s 2018 award winners were announced June 23, 2018. “Something from Nothing” was awarded first place for Season 2, episode 1 episode “#PartakeInPaducah” in the Small Market Podcast Division.
“Winning this award came as a surprise for me,” Justin Lewis, Host of “Something For Nothing” humbly replied when asked what winning this award meant to him. “The award is nice validation for the hard work that goes into this weekly show. I am grateful for the support and guidance I received from Chad Lampe, WKMS Station Director, for this episode. The #PartakeInPaducah story was a great one to tell.
