Plan your next celebration at Board & Brush Creative Studio!

Michele Arteme has a passion for crafts and designed her studio with that passion in mind. For Michele, crafting is a family affair, and she meets her mom and sister at crafting conferences every year to learn more about an art they all love. She thought about the possibility of turning her hobby into a business and bought her first Board & Brush Creative Studio franchise in 2017.

Michele currently has three franchise locations in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis, MO and her most recently opened studio in Paducah.

“Paducah is so unique and artsy. I felt like we could fill a gap in a place where people could gather with friends over a glass of wine or bottle of beer, if they choose, and just have a great time together. It just felt right to put a studio in Paducah!” says Michele Arteme, owner of Board & Brush Creative Studio.

Michele opened her Paducah Board & Brush Creative Studio location in January 2018. Since then, she has been hosting friends, family, work colleagues and people of all ages for painting parties.

“We are more of a party atmosphere than a craft atmosphere. Bachelorette parties always stand out in my mind because it’s such a fun way to treat the bride. Some of the bachelorette groups will even create signs for the bride and give them to her as a gift at the end as they sip on mimosas, eat cupcakes, create art pieces and spend quality time together.”

Another party, in particular, had a lasting impact on Michele at her hometown Cape Girardeau Board & Brush Creative Studio location. She met a girl at one of her classes and the girl loved it so much, she joined Michele’s team and now runs the Sunset Hills Board & Brush Creative Studio location.

Michele designed her Paducah studio to be welcoming and fun. Guests who come to Board & Brush Creative Studio have a unique party experience and use stencils to create creations. Everything is personalized to the customer, from the type of project to the paint colors.

“We’re very different from the paint and canvas because everybody can choose their own project. There’s not just one project going on, there are numerous at one time. The steps are all very similar so we are able to instruct the whole class together helping you every step of the way. There is one instructor per table and each table holds up to eight people. Some other places are more come in and do it yourself. While you are doing it yourself at our studio, we are here to guide you through the whole process.”

Each studio visit is workshop based and by appointment only. No appointment is required for open workshops. Message or call Board & Brush Creative Studio to book your next celebration!
